Communities
Channels, roles and permissions work the way you're used to, with the tools to welcome new people and keep the place friendly as it grows.
Give people roles with their own colors and exactly the permissions they need, for the whole server or a single channel.
Ask new members a few questions that hand out roles, and keep channels hidden until they accept the rules.
Give long conversations their own space, and handle support requests as private tickets inside your server.
Ask a question with up to 10 answers and watch the votes come in live, in servers, DMs and group DMs.
Spam and raid protection, AutoMod, timeouts, and an audit log of who changed what and why.
Privacy
Messages in server channels are encrypted at rest on our servers, but not end to end, so bots, search and moderation keep working there. Read our privacy policy
Voice and video
Voice channels are always open: join to talk, leave when you're done. Call friends one to one or in a group, with video and screen sharing.
Bots and Discord
SerikaCord speaks Discord's bot API, so the tools your community relies on can come along, and a consent-based bridge keeps you connected while people move over.
The same v10 REST routes, gateway events and data structures. Existing discord.js and discord.py bots can usually connect by changing the API base URL.
Link a SerikaCord channel to a Discord channel and talk across both while your community moves. Nobody's messages cross over unless they've agreed to it, in either direction.
People on Discord can change their mind at any time and ask for their bridged data to be deleted.
Customization
Pick a theme and an accent color, give your name a nameplate, and fill your profile with a banner, a bio and the accounts you've connected.
Apps
Desktop apps with native notifications, tray controls and global push to talk, an Android app with push notifications, and the full app in any modern browser.
Partners
Official partners verified by Serika Company.
How we compare
We compare SerikaCord with Discord and other apps as fairly as we can, with sources, including where they're the better choice.
Yes. Servers, voice and video calls, screen sharing and DMs are free. Serika+ is an optional subscription for extras such as bigger file uploads.
New DMs and group DMs, and their voice and video calls, are end-to-end encrypted by default, so only the people in the conversation can read them. You set a 6-digit PIN once to unlock them on new devices. Messages in server channels are encrypted at rest on our servers but not end to end, so bots, search and moderation can work there.

No, it's source available. The code is on GitHub, and you can self-host it for yourself and the people you invite, as long as it isn't commercial. For commercial use, email partners@serika.dev.
Usually, yes. SerikaCord has a Discord-compatible (v10) bot API and gateway, so most discord.js and discord.py bots can connect by changing the API base URL. Create a bot and get its token in the developer portal.
Yes, with the Discord bridge, which links a SerikaCord channel to a Discord channel. Messages only cross over for people who have agreed to it, on both sides.
It's on its way: the SerikaCord app for iPhone and iPad is coming to the App Store. Until then, open serika.chat in Safari and add it to your Home Screen to use it like an app.
